The investment for the project is about 25 billion US dollars. The construction of this massive dam was for the purpose of flood control, electricity, navigation, and irrigation.
At the top of Tanziling Ridge, travelers could have a panoramic view of the Dam, ship locks, ship lift and Yangtze River. The 185 Platform, which is 185 meters above the sea level, is the nearest place that travelers could go to enjoy the view of the main structure of the Dam.
