Itinerary

Day 1Arrive in Beijing

Upon arrival, greeted by our local tour guide at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Time to rest, relax and acclimate to your new time zone.

Day 2Explore Beijing

This morning, see vast Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world. Then, visit the imperial Forbidden City, the largest and best preserved imperial palace constructed in 1420.

After that, you will enjoy an authentic Peking Duck Banquet. Then visit Temple of Heaven, an Imperial Sacrificial Altar in Beijing, which is the site of imperial sacrifices to Heaven.

Day 3Beijing

This morning, you will visit the Great Wall of China (Juyong Pass), one of the country’s most famous tourist attractions and one of the greatest man-made wonders of the world. It runs about 5,500 miles through 150 different counties.

After that drive to Olympic Park to visit the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube.The National Stadium was built for Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. Because of its outer structure like bird’s nest, so people give it a nickname – Bird’s Nest. The opening and closing ceremonies of Olmpics have taken place here.The National Aquatics Centre is also known as “The Water Cube”. In the evening, the Water Cube can be lightened in different color lights.

    Beijing Hutongs are made up of lanes or alleys formed by lines of pre-modern quadrangles (Si He Yuan), four-sided dwelling compounds or quadrangles consist of one-story courtyard houses, which make up the old Beijing, and featured typical Chinese residential architecture. Hutongs are an irregular maze, ranging from only 40 centimeter to 10 meter in width, and the longest one has more than 20 turns. Exploring Hutongs is a challenge to you if you do not know the landform. You can hop on a rickshaw to ride through the narrow alleys. A local Hutong family visit will be specially arranged for you. You can talk with the local residents and have lunch there. you would like to have a glimpse into Beijing’s yesterday.

Day 4Beijing - Suzhou

After breakfast, transfer to Beijing Train Station for a high speed train to Suzhou.

Upon arrival you will be transferred to the hotel in Suzhou. Often called the ‘Venice of the East’, Suzhou has a history dating back to 514BC. Visit the famous Lingering Garden, recognized with other classical Suzhou gardens as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 5Suzhou - Shanghai

China is renowned for its exquisite silk, so naturally a visit to the Silk Spinning Factory is in order. Afterwards, drive to Shanghai (approx. 1.5hours coach ride) to visit the famous Bund.

Shanghai is divided by the Huang Pu River into eastern and western sections. Modern mega high rises are seen on the eastern side while traditional European style architecture may be seen on the western side.

Day 6Shanghai

The highlights of today’s sightseeing tour includes the Yuyuan Garden, Shanghai’s old Street, the colonial styled Bund, and the Nanjing Road.

Afternoon continue to one of the most fashionable neighborhoods of the capital, Xintiandi. Lunch is included. Then, visit Tianzifang, a former residential area known for its narrow, labyrinthine traditional streets with its small craft shops and art galleries.
